Where Night is Not Black

I Feel Fire

by admin on May.05, 2010, under Thoughts on Then

Suddenly holding, your small and soft hand
Caring for, your glowing and shining heart
Loving you, not what I had planned
But now, I can’t stand us being apart

My hands, gentle along your face
Flowing hair, my fingers do pace
Down falling, your brown locks tumble
My girl, you make me stumble

I’m thunder, reverberating above
You’re lightening, striking like a lance tip
Letting go, everyday I let go of
By water, You strike the glass and I slip

Light movements, along your soft leg
Taken in, forever more I beg
Seducing skin, I reach higher
Passion released, I feel fire

hmmm, I’m wondering. This is posted under Thoughts on Then. At the end, it is clearly written in present tense: “Passion released, I feel fire”. I’m curious about the meaning of this. The tense along with “Then”… Was this written from the perspective of “Then” or do you “feel fire” now? Just a thought. It can have great interesting implications if you feel fire now about then. I hope this makes sense.
